How I Spent Less than $100 on Over $600 Worth of Clothes

If you know me, you know I love a good deal, and shopping for things I probably don’t need. So on Memorial Day, I went shopping, for unnecessary clothes, shoes, and jewelry.

Even though the mall was filled with amazing deals like an extra 30% off sale items at Vineyard Vines and 50% off all regular priced items at Gap, I really didn’t get anything there. Instead I waited till Goodwill in Carmel, Indiana because I knew I’d find good deals.

Goodwill shopping for me can take a LONG time, but this trip took around an hour and a half. I found brands like Lilly Pulitzer, JCrew, tons of Gap, and Kate Spade. Everything was in great condition, but I only ended up getting four pieces.

The first two pieces I got were both JCrew and they are two very popular items. I got their best seller chino shorts, normally $45, in a hot pink shade for $4.99! As well as the Jackie Cardigan, normally $65 for $4.49. Both were in amazing shape. I also got a striped boat neck tee that was from a random brand and I just thought it was cute.

When I came across the next piece on my hunt, I just about screamed in the middle of the store. It’s obvious by now that I have a serious Kate Spade obsession, and when I found the classic Kate Spade boatneck tee, I was ecstatic. A similar one is $65 online right now, but I got it for $4.99.

P.S. how cute is this coozie! It’s from a company called Ann Page and they were kind enough to send me it and a few other goodies that I’ll be posting about on my Instagram and Facebook.

I saved my VERY favorite find for last, and I spotted it at Nordstrom Rack. I wasn’t looking for this in particular, or even for clothes at all. I was browsing the shoes when I turned around and out of the corner of my eye I spotted the most beautiful florescent coral ever. That’s saying a lot because I don’t really wear color. Immediately I knew it was Kate Spade because of the famous bow on the back. It was stuck in the size 12 section, but luckily it was my exact size!

The dress is originally $498 and I got it for less than $65! I’ve found several Kate Spade dresses before at Nordstrom Rack, but never have I found one this cheap. Also, don’t mind my swimmer tan lines. I’ve practiced outside twice this summer and managed to have pretty decent tan lines already!

This shopping trip was one for the books. Never have I found deals this good. Shopping Goodwill and Nordstrom Rack has proven that with a little bit of digging, you can find a hidden gem!
