Hello friends! Today on the blog we’re going to be kicking off a new series called “Let’s Talk Trend.” Some of my favorite posts to write are when I talk about trends because my style is very classic. Trying out new trends is the best way to get out of my closet comfort zone and have some fun with fashion. The first trend I’m going to chat about for this series is berets.
I think one of the best parts of this trend is how versatile it is. It can easily be thrown on with just about any outfit, including a tee and jeans. Also, berets come at many price points, so you can decide if you want to splurge or save. If you do decide to splurge, this hat is a classic and it will never not be stylish. There’s no worrying about spending loads of money on something you may only wear this season, because you can find them for less than $20 at Forever21.
Berets are not only popping up as the classic wool blend hat, but there are some of different details and materials. Below I’ve picked a few berets that I think are just darling.
I love how simple and classic this beret is, and it is gorgeous in this pale pink color. This would be the perfect color to compliment an all black ensemble!
Velvet is a great fabric to transition into the holiday season. Pair this beret with a striped turtleneck, black pants, and a red coat for the perfect holiday party look.
This is a more fun option when it comes to berets. It isn’t as simple as the other two I’ve shown this far, but it is just as cute! I’d wear this with a cream cable knit turtleneck, jeans, and over-the-knee boots for super chic look.
Finally, I love this pearl embellished beret. I did a post about the pearl-embellished trend a while back, and if I were to redo the post, this beret would’ve made the list! It’s like a classy girls dream, pearls and a stylish hat!
Personally, I love this trend and I don’t think berets will ever go out of style. A lot of people may be wearing this hat now, but I would say this trend won’t stick around forever. Wearing a beret will never be a fashion faux pas, but eventually there is going to be a bigger and better trend that comes along. For now, you’ll catch me, and a ton of other fashion girls, sporting berets!
